Virginia's Future Leaders

As many of you know, I have recently formed a new organization called Virginia's Future Leaders. I've created this "political incubator" to recruit and support candidates for local and state office. I would encourage you to check out the new website we've got up and running. Let me know what you think!

How is this different than/an improvement over/complementary to the Sorensen Institute in Charlottesville? Is VFL non-partisan?

Hoobie--Good question. I have not participated in the Sorensen training, but am familiar with it. VFL is different or maybe even complementary.

VFL will be hands on. Once we sign on with a candidate, we are with them until election day. We may cover some of the same topics as Sorensen, like grassroots, writing a campaign plan, fundraising, etc. But, we will provide ongoing consulting and work one on one with the actual candidate. VFL will not be a stand along a training program.

As of now, VFL will work with Republican candidates and in some instances, Independents.

I hope that answers your questions.
